Erin Hill



Erin is the Branches of Wellness’ Program Director/Owner. She is a gifted, compassionate, and nurturing yoga instructor and energy worker. Through her classes and practices, Erin encourages people to embrace themselves where they are today, move at their own pace down their chosen path, and smile while they discover their wonderfulness and potential. Erin was led to yoga and Reiki in the early 2000s, as they were her path to healing from systemic and discoid lupus erythmetosis. In 2006, she received her Master level Reiki certification from Carol J. Spears, and went on to receive her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher certification from T.R.Y. 4 Life in 2008. She is also registered with Yoga Alliance. Her teaching style has been influenced by Shiva Rea, Jennifer Kries, Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Spirit, to name a few. Presently, she is a yoga instructor, Usui Reiki Master and practitioner, energy worker, and dance educator. She believes that moving energy will initiate and promote healing, balance and joy whether it is through yoga, dance, Reiki, meditation, shamanistic healing, and/ or prayer. "As we practice listening to our body's voice and where it tells us to go or stay, we reestablish trust between the mind and body, laying the foundation for our own unique path to healing." Since receiving her certifications, Erin has taught many different styles yoga and dance in the Lake County area at the Fairport Dance Academy, Branches of Wellness, the Fairport Senior Center, and local school districts. She also shares the amazing healing art of Reiki through in-depth yearly Reiki trainings. To meet the curiosity of the ever-growing wellness community, Erin presents educational discussions on yoga and Reiki at Lake Erie College and local health and wellness events. Vinyasa Flow for Everybody
Vinyasa yoga is a practice of coordinating breath and movement while flowing from one posture to the next in a sequence. You will get warm, strengthen, stretch, and tone during this class, and will move at a moderate mindful pace to familiarize yourself with posture flows. This class is a great introduction for students who are newer to this style of yoga, but will cater to all levels. Learn to work with props and modifications of postures and gain a great foundation for more vigorous vinyasa!
Shamanic Journey
Following Shamanic Yoga, this class will be led by Erin Hill and Mark Mondville.  It will include guided meditations with Shamanic Drumming.  Time for questions/brief discussion is allotted at the end.
 
This class is being offered for a minimum $5.00 Love Donation.
Shamanic Yoga

This class marries Yoga and Shamanic principles. We will explore how yoga asana can lead us to the medicine and wisdom of our power animals/totems and other Shamanic healing concepts. The exploration with include gentle flow (vinyasa), restorative, and yin yoga. Through this practice the student will attune themselves to animal and Earth medicine. Each class will also feel like a meditative journey experience. Come and be balanced, aligned and healed by yourself, Creator and Earth.


Class is followed by an optional Guided Shamanic Journey from 7:30-8:00 pm with Erin Hill (Journey for donations).

Vinyasa Flow Movement Medicine
This all-levels Vinyasa class will blend traditional Vinyasa Flow with other movement medicine forms, such as: dance therapy, Shamanic energy exercises, Kundalini Yoga principles, Reiki and more.
AM Yoga

AM yoga is open to all students who would like to start the day off with an energizing, rejuvenating yoga practice. Class styles may vary from week to week exploring hatha yoga, gentle flow, Tibetan yoga, breathwork, and meditation.

Chakra Yoga
A chakra can be defined as a spinning vortex or "wheel" of energy.  In this gentle yoga class we will take a journey through our seven key energy centers and bring awareness to their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual functions. We may explore postures, breathing, sounds, colors, and more! Come experience the colorful magic of your true nature! All levels are welcome.
Walking with Ghosts: Shamanic Impressions of the Shadow-Self
Join this husband and wife team as we dive into the underworld of the Self and explore the Lakota concept of “Nagi: the Shadow of the Human.” During this workshop we will explore Shamanic journey techniques (and possibly some meditation in motion) to connect with the root of some of our ghosts. We will share specific drum and rattle rhythms, as well as Lakota chants, to transform and empower these shadows, providing them new residency in the heart center. What was once pain becomes power, and the shadow of darkness becomes new clarity and wisdom.
 
Feel free to bring a drum or rattle, writing utensil, and journal if you are inclined.
 
Cost is $35.

We are excited to share this transformational and life changing stage of Reiki with you! The focus of second degree Reiki is emotional healing and developing intuition. In this class, you will receive four more attunements and learn three sacred Reiki symbols to amplify the energy and to enable you to perform distance healing. Meditation and manifestation techniques will be taught, along with other advanced Reiki techniques.  The day will begin with the 10:00am Chakra Yoga Class.
We will review Reiki I principles as well.

How to Prepare for Class:

-Review Level I Reiki materials

-Practice meditation on your own or in a class.

-Journal and record any interesting dreams, feelings, or intuitions.

-Set an intention for what type of healing you are seeking.

-Eat healthy the night before class, avoiding red meat and alcohol. Also, avoid excessive caffeine intake before class

-Get permission from anyone you would like to send distance Reiki to on the second day of class.

-Avoid excessive caffeine before class.

What to Bring:

-A bagged lunch, drinks, snacks (Keep in mind there is no way to heat anything up!)

-A special object that has meaning to you
(Stones, jewelry, pictures, stuffed animals etc. May be the same object from Level I.)

-A picture of yourself at a time when you needed healing energy

-Notebook or journal and writing utensil
